Mostly cloudy to cloudy skies can be expected as sub-tropical moisture streaming ahead of a storm system over southern Arizona, New Mexico and northern Mexico moves over the unseasonably cool air at the surface. In fact, overnight low temperatures will drop to the 42-49 degree range by sunrise Wednesday as northerly winds subside (thankfully) a little to the 10-20 mph range from the north and northeast.

| With cool, moist air in place at the surface and pockets of cold air aloft moving over this atmosphere, get ready for a cloudy day with scattered showers and t-storms! The better rain chances will be confined to the afternoon and evening hours, but average rainfall totals will vary from a quarter to half an inch with isolated, heavier totals upwards of .50 of an inch with the t-storms. High temperatures will only reach the 56-67 degree range by late day thanks to cloudy skies and the increased rain chances. Winds will blow from the northeast at speeds averaging 10-20 mph throughout the day. |

| As the upper-level storm system nears our area, numerous to widespread showers and t-storms should develop over New Mexico and then move east into the Panhandles. Average rainfall amounts will vary from .50 to .75 of an inch with 1-2 inch totals possible underneath the heavier downpours. Overnight lows will drop to the 42-50 degree range by sunrise Thursday as cloudy skies prevail. |

| Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue in the afternoon today. As the upper-level storm system rolls right on top of the High Plains and gives our area a very good chance at some good soaking rain. In fact, numerous to widespread showers and a few t-storms will continue Thursday with average rainfall amounts varying from .25 to .75 of an inch likely with isolated, heavier totals upwards of 1-2 inches possible from the heavier downpours in t-storms. Afternoon highs will only warm to the 54-63 degree range by late day thanks to the cloudy skies and good rain chances. Winds will continue to blow from the northeast at speeds averaging 10-20 mph throughout the day. |

| An upper level storm system continues it's path out of the High Plains, leaving us high and dry. As a result, we'll see clearing skies today, especially in the afternoon. Expect partly cloudy conditions to prevail throughout most of the day. Temperatures will rise well up into the 70's. Winds will average 10-20 miles per hour out of the southwest. |
